Bryson's Book Club is a youth-led movement helping kids fall in love with reading while raising awareness about the literacy crisis in America.
Bryson has loved reading for as long as he can remember. Stacks of books, bedtime chapters, library visits — reading has always been his thing.
"When I found out not all kids get to read like I do, I wanted to do something about it."
So with the help of his family, Bryson started a book club — a place to share his favorite books, encourage other kids, and make reading feel exciting, possible, and cool for every young reader out there.
When Bryson was 8, he recorded himself reading The Day the Crayons Quit — and we animated the crayons coming to life right alongside him. It's where this whole journey took off.
"I made this video because I wanted other kids to laugh and love books like I do." — Bryson
Reading is the foundation for everything — school success, career opportunities, and lifelong confidence. But millions of kids are falling behind.
Nearly 2 in 3 American fourth graders are not reading at grade level. This gap widens with age and affects lifetime outcomes.
Students who can't read proficiently by 3rd grade are 4x more likely to drop out of high school. Early literacy changes everything.
When kids see other young people who love books, it changes what feels possible. Peer encouragement works.
Mia Tang is determined to make her voice heard — even when the world tells her to stay quiet. A story about family, courage, and the power of words that will inspire young readers everywhere.
Why Bryson chose this book: "It shows that your story matters, no matter where you come from."
Every month, Bryson randomly picks one young reader who completes a book and sends them a brand-new book — plus one of his signature bookmarks — anywhere in the country. No cost, no catch, just love for reading.
