About Bryson

One kid. A whole lot of books. A big idea.

Founder

Bryson has loved reading for as long as he can remember. Stacks of books, bedtime chapters, library visits — reading has always been his thing.

"When I found out not all kids get to read like I do, I wanted to do something about it."

So with the help of his family, Bryson started a book club — a place to share his favorite books, encourage other kids, and make reading feel exciting, possible, and cool for every young reader out there.

Watch · Bryson at 8

The video that started it all.

When Bryson was 8, he recorded himself reading The Day the Crayons Quit — and we animated the crayons coming to life right alongside him. It's where this whole journey took off.

"I made this video because I wanted other kids to laugh and love books like I do." — Bryson

Why Reading Matters

The literacy gap is real.
We can close it together.

Reading is the foundation for everything — school success, career opportunities, and lifelong confidence. But millions of kids are falling behind.

📊

The Numbers Don't Lie

Nearly 2 in 3 American fourth graders are not reading at grade level. This gap widens with age and affects lifetime outcomes.

🔗

Reading = Opportunity

Students who can't read proficiently by 3rd grade are 4x more likely to drop out of high school. Early literacy changes everything.

💪

Community is the Solution

When kids see other young people who love books, it changes what feels possible. Peer encouragement works.
